The previous lighting at the Vermilion Health Centre was outdated and not efficient. The goal of this project was to replace the whole lighting system in each of their operating rooms while ensuring a clean, sterile area in the remaining area of the operating floor as we upgraded and installed new energy-efficient operating lights.

Working within a healthcare facility involves applying specialized infection control processes and barriers to the staff, patients and the general public. During the renovation, we also had to ensure that other areas in the operating room remained functional and useable as to not interfere with health care services.
Working closely with engineers, architects, electrical companies and the health regions maintenance team we worked collaboratively together to remove and replace the operating lights in each of the operating rooms.
The Vermilion Health Care Centre now utilizes moveable and adjustable operating lighting systems within their operating rooms.
